Collection: WORKSHOPS
Blue-and-white decoration on ceramics dates back to the 9th century and became widely developed in China, especially on porcelain. Through global trade, it was brought to Europe by the VOC (Dutch East India Company), where European countries began to interpret and reproduce the style in their own ways. This led to distinctive traditions such as Delft Blue, Meissen porcelain, and Arabia ceramics, which continue to be appreciated today.
Having studied the traditional techniques of blue-and-white painting in Jingdezhen—the historic “capital of porcelain”—I have learned the delicate and expressive process of working with cobalt pigment on ceramic surfaces.
Now, I would like to share this unique and ancient decorative art by organizing workshops, where you can experience firsthand how the brush interacts with cobalt on ceramic tiles and create your own blue-and-white piece.
